Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology in the Diagnosis of Canine Thyroid Carcinoma

In 11 dogs with thyroid carcinomas there was a good correlation between cytological results of fine needle aspiration biopsy and histological findings. The only difficulty with the aspiration technique was excessive contamination with blood of a third of the specimens.
